KMC and Dancing with the Stars (Yok Boyle Dans) Turkey.
KMC Agencies supplied Latin and Ballroom dancers to the Turkish television programme ‘Yok Böyle Dans‘ for the 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 seasons. The show was originally set up by Darren and Lilia of Strictly Come Dancing fame in the competition format similar to the popular British programme.
The 2011-12 season saw great success for KMC. Ivana Ostrowski reached the finals with her partner Alp Kirsan, competing for the title on Monday 9th Janaury 2012, placing a very close second. In addition, Jake Davies reached the semi- finals. After being knocked out the competition Jake Davies, Clare Craze and Aliona Kalinina were honoured to be asked to continue performing in the show during the weekly professional dances.
Unfortunately, AcunMedya, the production company responsible for bringing Yok Boyle Dans to Turkish screens, did not go ahead with a 2013 season.
Watch this space as we are hoping to work with more countries in 2013 who are producing the show in the BBC format!
Please find as follows the profiles of our Latin and Ballroom dancers –
Ivana Ostrowski has assisted Richard Marcel with many of his group dance numbers on Strictly Come Dancing (UK) throughout season 5 and 6. Throughout her career she has have worked as a professional Ballroom and Latin dancer and teacher as well as a Commercial and Contemporary Dancer.
